About the Teachers
Daniel & Amalia have been teaching tango for over 6 years in Bucharest, Romania. During this time, they have contributed significantly to the growth of the Romanian tango community from a few dozen in 2003 members to over 500 active dancers in 2012.
They believe in a completely improvised dance, suited for the modern milongas, while respecting the spirit of the dance and the tango music. They actively encourage the search for individual expression through tango, while emphasizing a solid grasp of fundamental techniques.
Daniel and Amalia are constantly taking classes in Europe and Argentina with internationally recognized tango maestros such as Gustavo Naveira, Pablo Veron and Mariano ‘Chicho’ Frumboli.
They have created and choreographed several tango shows and have performed in over 100 stage shows in Romania, Italy, Israel, Spain and Hungary.
